I would have to say that staying positive is one of the hardest things for me to do. Sure I have moments, but for the most part I get stuck in the negative. This is something I've decided I MUST change. It just feels toxic.
I recently came home from visiting my family and instead of being grateful I got to spend as much time with them as I did, all I can think about is how I have no idea when I will see them again.
With that said I am going to be trying my hardest to think of the positive and give New York the chance it deserves instead of just missing my green Oregon.
What are ways in which you stay positive?
As much as I miss you, I believe New York is a challenge you should embrace.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure I like challenges too much, that being said I applied for about 10 jobs yesterday. So hopefully i will hear something soon.
ReplyDeleteSometimes, being positive is overrated, especially if you're not feeling it. Adversity builds character! I like to find a way to let it motivate me to turn it into something productive and substantial instead, like writing something :)
ReplyDeleteWhen I do need a pick me up - for every day things I read HP, whatever happens to me I will never be destined to die at the hands of an all powerful evil wizard, and Harry handles it so brilliantly! And for big things I watch Brassed Off, again, I don't have my whole life, job and family inseparably tangled with a dying industry, and I love the way they use music to keep them going! Pure inspiration :)
