Day 3: Book that makes you Laugh out loud

Ok, now this one was a hard one for me. Apparently I do not read very humorous novels. However, finally I did come to a decision.

'

The reason why I picked this book is because of the authors wit and style of writing. There are many times in the various character's dialogue were I find my self smirking at what was said. Secondly, there is a moment towards then end of the book when a Character almost "breaks the fourth wall" and I always love that. So even though it is a very dark book I love the sarcasm and wit in the dialogue, that on occasion makes me chuckle :)

So which book do you find to be the most humorous?

Day 2: Least Favorite Book

Lord of the Flies

Choosing my least favorite book proved to be a little challenging because when I do not like a book I usually just quit reading. So I thought back to my high school days and all the "classics" we were forced to read. Many of these books I found to be not enjoyable. Chief among these books was Lord of the Flies. I read the book my sophomore year and it was just horrible. It shows the worse side of humanity with absolutely no redeeming qualities. There is no hope in the book, just cruelty. Call me crazy but I read books for entertainment; and while showing the dark-side of humanity may have its place in literature this book went a little to far for my taste.

How About You?
What book could you have gone without reading?

30 day book challenge!

Well it is not so much a challenge as it is a list :) I got the idea from Bethan's blog and it just looked like too much fun to pass up. So here...we...go....

Day 1
Favorite book: The Harry Potter Series written by JK Rowling

Now I know I am kind of cheating because I am actually picking seven books instead of but I just absolute love this series. The characters are amazing, the plot is twisting and fast-paced, and it has a wonderful message of tolerance and love. PLUS there is magic, whats not to love?

What is your absolute favorite book?????

Fill in the Blank Friday

I know It has been a while, but it is never too late to start again!

1. My most prized possession is my laptop. I am completely in love with my Macbook Pro.

2. If I could be one age for the rest of my life, I would want to be hmmmm This is a tough one. I would probably choose my late twenties, but really, who wants to stay the same age forever? There is no fun in that.

3. The best way to spend a weekend is relaxing with family and great food! I am totally a foodie.

4. My outlook on life is I am too young to have an outlook on life, I am still trying to figure it all out. However one of my favorite quotes is from James Dean- "Dream as if you'll live forever, Live as if you'll die tomorrow."

5. If you want to annoy me, just use the word good, when the correct word is well. Or say anyways...

6. I am completely defenseless when it comes to junk food, I have a serious addiction to chips!

7. When dressing for the day one should dress according to the weather!

How would you answer the blanks?

Blue Fire is reviewed

Review:

Blue Fire will have you glued to the pages. Once I started, I couldn’t stop. The story is creative and will spark your imagination. However, the editing is a bit distracting and needs to be fine tuned.

The love story between Drystan and Jane is entrancing and will leave you wanting more. It’s hard not to fall in love with the courageous and smart Jane and the tough but soft-hearted Drystan. Blue Fire is filled with action in and out of the bedroom.

Even though the premise for the story is sad, there is much humor between these pages. Angela Castle did all Earth women, especially not a size zero, a great service when creating her character Jane and the Kell women.

Angela Castle leaves room in the storyline for future visits to this new world. I am looking forward to the next storyline that is set up at the end of the book and will be checking back on this author and her creations.

This is a great read for any science fiction romance fans.

A St. Patrick's Day Tale

A St. Patrick’s Day Tale

Musings from Tiamoon, gnome warrior in Meadows of Gold:

You know, my people traveled thousands of miles to find this new place of Oregon. The land was fertile, forests thick and expansive, meadows lush and large and for the most part, we were left alone. For many years life was peaceful and quiet until those irritating night elves moved into the valley. First they took over the hills and built fortresses so large no one could miss them. Then they started mixing with the humans [you know that’s asking for trouble]. And if all of that wasn’t enough to upset the balance of things, they start making noises as though they’re going to try and resurrect the old order of kings, kingdoms and servants—over my dead body.

I tried to warn the fae community but you know how ethereal they are. I want things to go back to the way they were, quiet—undisturbed.
